Home Depot and Lowe’s, stop selling bee-killing pesticides

Nursery plants can be pre-treated with bee-harming pesticidesBees are essential for one out of three bites of food we eat. And last winter, beekeepers reported unprecedented bee losses of 40-70%.

A growing body of scientific evidence is pointing to neonicotinoids (neonics) as the key factor in this crisis — along with pathogens, nutrition and habitat loss — and the European Union recently imposed a two year ban on these bee-toxic pesticides.

Neonics are widely used — in commercial agriculture, on the shelf of your local garden stores and in the plants and seeds we buy from nurseries. Be part of the solution! Tell Home Depot, Lowe’s and others to stop selling neonics.
